Chair Pilates – Ataxia

Chair Pilates

Chair Pilates

Join us on Tuesday 2 March at 11:30am-12.30pm for an hour of Chair Pilates, led by Sonia Forde who has over 17 years’ experience as a Pilates teacher. Read more about Sonia’s work here.

About the class

A seated movement class using Pilates techniques which will focus on mobilising and stretching the whole body. It will also explore optimal body alignment to improve body awareness and alleviate muscular tension. The final part of the session will use breathing techniques to relax the mind and body to leave you feeling centred, re-energised and ready to continue with the rest of your day. This class is open to all and there will be adaptations and adjustments for all exercises to make them suitable to individual needs.

What you will need to take part

You will need to have a stable chair and plenty of space around you where you can freely move your arms, in order to participate. It would be good if I can see you on screen so that I can give feedback but if you prefer to keep your screen off whilst following the class, that is absolutely fine.

The class will be held on Zoom and tickets cost £5 (available to purchase below).  Please contact volunteering@ataxia.org.uk if you have any queries in advance of booking.
