How we can help

Like the look of one of our events, planning your own event or need some fundraising ideas?

We will be there every step of the way to help you hit your fundraising target and will provide you with the following:

• A free t-shirt or running vest, depending on the event
• Advice on setting up a fundraising page and useful hints and tips to maximise your fundraising
• A fundraising pack, which include sponsorship forms for any cash donations you collect offline
• A range of fundraising materials, such as banners, posters, collection tins, balloons and leaflets on ataxia and Ataxia UK
• A thank you letter and certificate to display wherever you choose!

Remember to take photos!

We love seeing photographs of our supporters at events, so please do send some to us if you're able to and we can share them the Ataxia UK community on our social media platforms/in our quarterly magazine.

Useful information
There are some rules and regulations that you will need to consider when organising your own event so please do get in touch as we can provide you with the relevant information. This covers licenses, raffles, insurance, first aid and risk assessments. Please see page 8 in our fundraising pack for more information.

What to do after your event?
If you have set up an online fundraising page through JustGiving then the money will come directly to us and you do not need to do anything else!

You can also donate the money raised from your fundraising page through our website, by clicking the donate button on this page.

If you have used sponsorship forms for your event, please send them to:

If you would like to donate the money via cheque, then please make the cheque payable to ‘Ataxia UK' and send to the address above.

Alternatively, you can donate the money to us via bank transfer. Our bank details are:

When making a bank transfer, please write your name in as a reference so that we can link this money back to you.

Once Ataxia UK has received the money, we will send you a thank you letter and certificate for all of your hard work.
