This month, I was supposed to go to an outdoor Kings of Leon concert. Going to concerts used to be second nature to me. I didn’t think twice about them and always really looked forward to them. Now, I have to think carefully about things such as the venue, whether there are railings on any steps, and whether I really love the artist or band.
In the end, I didn’t go to the concert. It was raining, and the organisers had put down flooring that I knew would be wet, so I was worried about slipping and falling. I was also concerned about the walk from the car. I had seen them twice before (pictured at Slane in 2011), so I wasn’t too disappointed.

I have decided that outdoor concerts are not for me.
One positive to come from all of this is that I am living more in the moment. People often ask me, “Do you have a holiday planned?” It was always nice to have a holiday booked and something to look forward to. However, I would slightly dread it now. The positive is that I am genuinely happy having small staycations, especially with the beautiful weather we have been enjoying recently! ☀️
