We’re due North: are you ready for the races?

We’re due North: are you ready for the races?

We’re due North for 2019, taking on the Greater Manchester Marathon and the Great North Run in Newcastle. East or West… which side are you on? Ballot places are now open.

We’re looking for dedicated sporting champions to take on one of our marathon challenges. Whether you want to run a half marathon or go the full 26.2-mile hog, we’ve got a place for you. Run off your winter blues and mince pies by signing up for a place in one of our northern races:

The Great North Run

The ballot for places in the Great North Run is now open. Don’t miss out. Take on a half marathon to support people affected by ataxia. The course promises iconic architecture, riverside running and Bands on the Run: musical entertainers who’ll keep you company by playing tunes along the way. Interested? Read how to take part for Ataxia UK here.

The Greater Manchester Marathon

Half marathon not enough for you? Why not tackle a full 26.2 miles on the West side. Run the UK’s flattest, fastest and friendliest race to support people affected by ataxia. Interested? You can read more about the event and how to apply here.
