Ataxia UK works in two main ways: We fund research into finding treatments and a cure for ataxia, and we support people through our range of services.

Services we offer include:

  • Our Helpline which is open Monday - Thursday 10.30 - 14:30

  • A selection of online groups, including:
    • parents of children with ataxia, a closed Facebook group
    • young adults with ataxia, our 16-30's closed Facebook group
    • Ataxia UK volunteers, a Facebook group
    • Health Unlocked, for anyone with ataxia: a social forum that allows people with ataxia to find others with their condition, and to take on day-to-day health concerns together.

Please contact Steph Marley at [email protected] to be invited to one of the above Facebook groups.

  • Our Friends are eligible to receive a range of free information resources and publications, including a quarterly magazine and a monthly e-newsletter

  • Regular events around the country

  • A range of grants to help with the extra costs involved in having ataxia

  • A 16-30's project which facilitates young people who have ataxia to support, inform and advise one another, whilst making friends along the way.
