T GOODFELLOW I have been a keen cyclist since my childhood but have only been entering events for the last three years culminating in last years Prudential 100. I enjoyed the challenge so much that i wanted to enter again for this years event.
My Uncles nephew, Darren Ashton was diagnosed with Friedreich's Ataxia 6 years ago at the age of 17, he attends hospital clinics regularly and tries to be part of as much research as possible. I have not seen Darren during his illness but have had conversations with my uncle regarding his and his families difficulties. I wanted to support this research and when i discovered that Ataxia UK had places available for the Pudential 100 ride, i made enquiries and was lucky enough to be accepted to the team.
I am looking forward to raising sponsorship for Ataxia UK and informing as many people as possible about Ataxia, before, during and after this event. T GOODFELLOW
