Lydia Hallett After a 5 year journey of GP appointments, neurology assessments, scans, blood tests and more scans, Toby finally had an official diagnoses made this year. It was a relief to find a cause for his symptoms but also a shock as reality of this hit. With no cure and very little information on how it will progress it is very much a case of taking things day by day and appreciating what he can do while he still can. Supporting Ataxia UK means there is still hope for a cure to be found for all those affected and also raises awareness of the condition which can be massively discriminated against, as shown in the recent "Disordered Not Drunk" campaign by ataxia UK, and in the workplace with little information for employers on how to support employees with their unique difficulties.

To raise money, I have decided to do a sponsored Hoopathon, so instead of running a marathon, I will be hula hooping for 4 hours straight, the same amount of time it would take to run a marathon! To make it fun I will be streaming this on Facebook Live for the full 4 hours on Sunday 6th October! There may be some surprise guests join me over the course of the day!

Any donations would be greatly appreciated. The whole event will be streamed live here:
