When I turned 25, I was diagnosed with SCA3 (Spinocerebellar Ataxia type 3), I very soon after suffered with a lack of balance, that left me covered in scars and I had to give up my job and lifestyle of working in the gym because lifting weights became impossible, I couldn't work full stop. I have started having spasms in my right foot and deep tissue nerve pains and have spent the past 9 months in the same room, because of the genetic mutation that SCA has produced, I have been isolated from the world, and a deep depression set in... but I have found a bit of motivation to make a stand against this devasting illness that is plaging my life so... I am trying to do all I can to fight against this near fatal disease, I am also planning on joining the ESMI research study to help understand the mutation of genetic structuring in the brain, to determine the cause of SCAs and therefore go towards solving a potential solution for the illness, but these medical research projects are not free, so we will have to raise funds.
