We are looking for thrill-seeking fundraisers like you to take on this once in a lifetime challenge. Enjoy the exhilarating and unforgettable feeling of completing a skydive from over 10,000 ft! You'll be strapped to a qualified British Parachute Association tandem instructor who does all of the hard work, leaving you to experience 5,000ft of free-falling at up to 120mph before you open the parachute, glide to the ground and enjoy the wide vistas of the beautiful English countryside.
You'll have the opportunity to meet like-minded people who want to help raise money and awareness for Ataxia UK, and if you raise over £500 as we ask you to do, you'll get to jump for free. There is a £70.00 event fee, but this will be refunded if you exceed the required amount.
So if you're up for the challenge – either alone or with friends – you can join us at Nottingham, Swindon or Brigg airfields on Saturday 7 October, and be part of the team!
If you are interested in this experience, then please complete the relevant reservation form below for your chosen airfield (wheelchair users will need to complete the medical permissions forms as well, which are linked to in the box below).
Nottingham (do not cater for wheelchair users)
Swindon (can cater for wheelchair users)
Brigg (can cater for wheelchair users)
These will need to be completed and returned to the address provided at the bottom of the forms.
form 1 (can be completed on the day at the airfield)
form 2 (compulsory and to be signed by your doctor)
There is also an information pack here which may answer any questions you may have about the Skydive day.
You can also contact our fundraising team on 020 7582 1444 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
It's optional, but if you would like to purchase insurance you can do so here.
A tandem skydive is the most popular type of jump we offer, and you only need to raise £500 for your jump to be free.
Imagine standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 10,000 feet - the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in your ears with only the outline of distant fields below. Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go, falling into the clouds down through the air as you free-fall at over 120mph!
You do not need any formal training for the jump, as you'll be strapped to a fully qualified instructor.
