Enjoy the exhilarating and unforgettable feeling of completing a skydive from over 10,000 ft! A tandem skydive is the most popular type of jump, and you only need to raise £450 to jump for free. Imagine standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 10,000 feet - the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in your ears, with only the outline of distant fields below. Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go, falling into the clouds down through the air as you free-fall at over 120mph. You do not need any advanced formal training to take part in a skydive for Ataxia UK. You'll be strapped to a fully qualified instructor, who'll lead you through the day. Tandem Skydive highlights include: Jump and training completed in one day Harnessed to an instructor at all times Skydive from 10,000 feet like the pro's Freefall down to 5,000ft at 120mph! Your instructor will teach you how to steer the canopy Landing is controlled by your instructor Certificate to prove you have completed your tandem skydive! How it works We have two options for our skydivers: Jump for Free - To qualify for a free jump, skydives have a minimum sponsorship target of £450 (£500 in Scotland and Northern Ireland). This covers the cost of your jump and everything else comes straight to us. Self-funded - Alternatively, you can cover the cost of the skydive yourself and then all your sponsorship comes directly to Ataxia UK. There is no minimum sponsorship target for self-funding skydivers. Whichever option you choose, you will be asked to pay either £70 for your registration fee, or £99 if you would like to include insurance. You can choose to either pay this yourself, or take it out from your offline fundraising. Get booking! You’re all set!
