25 April 2007 New Clinical Guidelines
Ataxia UK has published a set of clinical guidelines for healthcare professionals, covering the diagnosis and management of progressive ataxias.
The guidelines were created by Ataxia UK in collaboration with neurologists and other specialists with expertise in the ataxias.

The ataxias are uncommon neurological disorders, although the prevalence is now known to be much higher than previous estimates. The latest epidemiological research suggests that some 10,000 adults in the UK have a form of cerebellar ataxia
