About Ataxia

Our previous interns and volunteers

My name is Katerina and I have been an Events and Fundraising Intern since March 2011. The experience that I gained within the events, fundraising and database manipulation fields was very valuable. I enjoyed a lot working within a friendly environment and helping people with ataxia.

I'm Fran Harrison. I have been working as a volunteer in the Ataxia UK office with the science and research department since June this year. In 2007 I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Biomedical Sciences. Working here has given me a great opportunity to use my scientific background and writing skills that I learnt from my degree. Volunteering with Ataxia UK has been a great experience. All the staff have been friendly and helpful and it is great learning opportunity. I would definitely recommend it to others.
