About Ataxia

If you are not allowed to do a skydive for medical reasons, you may be able to do a bungee jump instead. Contact us to find out more, and watch a video below of our Friend Chris Lucas (who has ataxia) taking the plunge!

Ataxia UK are looking for adventurous people to do a sponsored parachute jump. Why not get a group together and make a day of it? No experience is necessary as full training will be given and you will be attached to a fully qualified instructor at all times. You can complete all of your training and do your jump on a single day. There are three types of jump available – an ‘Accelerated Freefall’ where you can experience the thrill of skydiving solo from up to 12,000 feet, a ‘Tandem Skydive’ from 10,000 feet attached to a professional instructor and a ‘Static Line’ jump which is performed solo from up to 3,000 feet. You can jump from any one of over twenty British Parachute Assocation approved airfields across the UK.

You will need to raise the minimum amount of sponsorship (£395) then all your costs can be recovered.
