The Inca Trail in Peru or Everest Base Camp – you decide!
If you have ever wanted to do an exhilarating challenge for charity, here is your chance. Ataxia UK are looking for adventurous volunteers to take part an exciting sponsored trek in 2008. In September there will be the opportunity to trek to Machu Picchu in Peru and later, in October, a more challenging trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal will be on offer.
The Peru trek is based in the Lares region of Peru on a trail that will undoubtedly give you a true insight into Peruvian life and if you raise enough in sponsorship you will get to take part for free! Immerse yourself in ancient Peruvian culture and experience diverse scenery such as tropical andean rainforests, the snow capped mountain ranges of the Andes and of course Machu Picchu, one of the world's most important archaeological finds.
The Everest Base Camp trek is arguably the most famous trekking route in the world and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see some of the most breathtaking scenery imaginable. This is a tough trek involving 10 days of walking at altitude. A minimum sponsorship target applies and we can provide you with all the help and support that you will need to reach the target.
For those of you with a passion for travel, a sense of adventure and the desire to do something challenging for a great cause, simply give us a call at the office on 020 7582 1444 or email fundraising@ataxia.org.uk for further information or to request a brochure.
There are also a range of other challenges available including, Iceland Trek, London-Paris Bike Ride, China Trek, Kilimanjaro Trek, Vietnam Bike Ride
