Running Events

There are many running events taking place throughout the year all over the UK. Whether you are an experienced runner or a complete beginner, there is sure to be a suitable event for you. When you sign up to run for Ataxia UK, we will send you a t-shirt and a sponsorship pack that includes ideas to get you started.

Flora London Marathon

Take part in one of the world’s greatest running events and join the thousands of people who run in aid of a good cause. Every year, we have a small (but vitally important!) team of runners who take part in support of Ataxia UK.

Gold Bond places
Ataxia UK has one gold bond which means five guaranteed entries. All runners should register in the public ballot as well to give as many people as possible the opportunity to run for Ataxia UK.

As there is such a high demand for gold bond places, we ask that runners pledge to raise a minimum of £1000 in sponsorship (excluding gift aid). Although this may seem like a daunting figure, we are here to help you and can provide you with advice and fundraising materials.

If you don’t feel that you can commit to raising £1000, you can still enter the public ballot. We would really appreciate any funds you can raise for us!

FLM 2008 team

Thank you to all of you who turned out to support them, and to TriXG (www.trixg.com) for sponsoring the runners' vests, goody bags and celebratory lunch.
