Research Conference 2006
‘Diagnosis and potential new treatments for the ataxias’
Following the success of the previous year, the second Ataxia UK research conference was held on the 15th September at the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield. A more clinical theme was chosen to reflect the exciting advances in research this year.
The day was attended by around 70 delegates including neurologists, geneticists, basic scientists, and physiotherapists from the UK and other European countries. Ataxia UK also hosted this year’s Euro-ATAXIA AGM at the same venue the following day, so there were a number of representatives from ataxia charities around Europe attending too.
